Helloooo! Haven't written anything for quite some time. I thought it might be a good time to catch up.

Well first things first. I pre-ordered Left 4 Dead 2. Played the demo. Loved every second of it. I love the new cast, especially Nick. He's just a real asshole and I love him for it. I love the new special infected. We'll most of them. The Jockey drives me crazy. He can take a beating and is hard to spot sometimes in the crowd. The Charger is awesome although he dies a bit too easily. The Spitter is also a bit of a weakling dying with just 1 hit. Also the Tank is now way too weak on expert, but despite all this L4D2 feels a lot harder than L4D1. I often spent like 20 minutes trying to get through the second chapter on the demo.

The new guns are great. I just love the magnum, spas and AK-47. The new melee weapons are great too like the machete (Slice 'em and dice 'em) or the frying pan (BONK!).

We'll I could talk for hours how awesome the demo is so I guess it's for the best if I just move on. Better save those praises for the full release.


I also pre-purchased Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2... and then I demanded a refund. No dedicated servers, no lean, no mods, no console, 9v9 max... Screw you Infinity Ward! Screw you Activision! I have been waiting for this game with a raging boner ever since they announced it and now they just ram their cocks up our asses and say "Trust us. It's gonna be fun!". As a proud PC gamer I will not stand for this. For now MW2 isn't worth 60€. Not by a long shot. However if it proves that the IWnet actually works or IW decides to bring back dedis, lean and raise the player cap, then I might reconsider buying it again.

For now I will give my hard earned (birthday present <3) money to someone I can trust.

Epic Games released their Unreal Development Kit to the public. For free! That is freaking awesome! Me and my friend started our own little game prototype project. It's called "Trooper" for the time being. It's going to be an old school shooter with a top-down perspective. Just kill everything that moves. We've got some great ideas and hopefully this will go beyond a mere prototype.
